It's been a while since I've hit ya'll with an update...not that anybody reads these...but still I'd like to think that there's one curious person out there other than my mom that wants to know what's up. I've really been putting music on the back-burner for no apparent reason. Well, there is a reason actually. I wasn't planning on dropping two mixtapes within a 3 month span, it just sort of happened. I originally wasn't supposed to release The Heartbreak Tape but circumstances led me to do so. As for The Starlight Zone (Which FLOPPED), it was really just the fact that after I was done with The Heartbreak Tape, I was still in that writing mood so I wrote 13 tracks for The Starlight Zone and bam, dropped it. It only got a couple downloads but, as long as it's out there I'm cool with it. Now...on to the important stuff, like, future music/releases/blah blah blah. I've kind of been on a mini hiatus since July, I have dropped a couple songs since The Starlight Zone (The Way, SOML, Everlong) nothing serious though. I'm gearing up towards my biggest release yet...Heroes Eventually Die. It's not a mixtape and it's not an album. It's a story. Each track isn't a song, it's an experience. I don't know how else to explain it. I'm taking my time with it though, so as of right now the release date is simply mid-late 2014. I will have the cover art for ya'll soon...along with the first single "Death To The Stereotype" Again...no official date for anything. I have started writing again though. I hope ya'll enjoyed "Everlong"...it will be on Heroes Eventually Die. As of right now, the track list is looking crazy. I have about 35 total songs I want to get on there because after it's done, released and everything, I think I'm going to put rapping aside for a while. Not that I don't enjoy it, it's because right now, there is a logjam of rappers in the world. Knowing your place is alot better than trying to force yourself in a place where there is minimal reward for your hard work. I do run another website where I cover the Brooklyn Nets...and I really enjoy being a semi-journalist...or sports blogger for short. I love rap music and I love being a rapper, but there comes a point and time where you really have to sit down and evaluate your path. I've put basically my heart and soul into rapping ever since I started writing poems and short raps at age 11...now I'm going to be 18 in about a month and a half and I have released eight mixtapes...110 songs and put hours into this rap game. My objective was never to make money, but to make a difference. To go out and show people that being different is okay. To help people who are or were on the same road I was on...the depressed, suicidal, emotional kids who feel like they don't belong. I've had people tell me that my music did make a difference in their lives and honestly that's all I've ever wanted out of this. Heroes Eventually Die will be insane, I promise ya'll that. Thank ya'll for your support and everything...you don't know how much it means to me. I'm out though.
